AFROBEAT musician Adolphe Bagabo, famous for his stage name Kamichi, will be launching his latest album, Ubumuntu, today, December 7, at Petit Stade in Remera.
Backed by only local musicians, Kamichi’s album launch is expected to be live and the event starts at 5pm until midnight.
The highly anticipated 12-track album contains major hits like Maritha, Mwenyura, Warambeshye, Aho Ruzingiye and Akanigi, among others.
The Ubumuntu launch will feature various artistes like King James, Urban Boys, Riderman, Tom Close, Tuff Gangs, Paccy, Jack B, Queen Cha, TNP, Sick City, Makanyaga and Jabba Junior.
Entrance fee is Rwf2000 (ordinary section) and Rwf5000 for (VIP seats).
After the Kigali show, Kamichi will head to the Southern Province for a performance at Orion Terrase in Muhanga District, on Sunday.
Kamichi, 29, started his career at a young age-singing in choirs.
He rose to prominence in 2009 following the release of Zoubeda, a single featuring The Ben, which emerged as the Best Song in 2010 Salax Awards.
Apart from music, Kamichi is a student at Catholic University of Kabgayi, where he is pursuing a degree in journalism and communication. He is also a journalist at Voice of Africa -VOA
